EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France (AP) ― An emotional Suzann Pettersen spoke Saturday of the devastation the twin attacks in Norway have had in her home country, honoring the victims with a black armband at the LPGA’s Evian Masters.

The No. 3-ranked player in the world, talking moments after completing her third round, said she was deeply upset by Friday’s bombing and shooting deaths, calling them “the biggest disaster in Norway’s history” and “a very, very sad day.”

A massive bombing in the center of Oslo was followed by a shooting spree on an island hosting a youth retreat for the prime minister’s center-left party.

At least 91 people were killed in the two attacks, 84 of them on the island. “My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of those affected,” she said. “I guess it’s the biggest disaster in Norway’s history. All I can say is to send my love and all my thoughts to everyone back home.”
