Temperatures on Sunday will soar to a maximum of 28 degrees Celsius, with ‘bad’ levels of ozone and ultraviolet ray saturation, according to the weather agency.

At 5 a.m. the temperature read 17.9 C in the capital city of Seoul, 15.3 C in Incheon, 18.1 C in Daejeon, 16.4 C in Busan, 17.5 C in Gwangju and 14.3 C in Gangneung.

The highest daytime temperatures will range between 19 C and 28 C with Seoul’s forecast to be 25 C.

People are advised to keep out of the sun, as ozone and ultraviolet ray saturation is forecast to shoot up to hazardous levels nationwide.

Sharp differences in temperatures is another weather factor to watch out for. The weather agency urges people to dress in layers.

Fine dust concentration levels are forecast to be ‘normal’ for the most part of Korea, with a chance of them turning ‘bad’ in the central regions and North Jeolla, and Chungcheong provinces in the morning.

Light precipitation is forecast in Jeju from the afternoon to the next morning.
